This guide will walk you through the process of creating, modifying, and managing your Modjo Notes Templates.

Updated over 5 months ago

Want to ensure consistent and effective calls across your revenue team? Modjo Notes Templates provide a structured framework for every conversation, guiding your team with pre-defined agendas, questions, and key talking points.

Before you begin: You'll need administrator/manager permissions in Modjo to access and manage Notes Templates.

1. Creating a template

Step 1: Access Notes Templates

  • Click the lightning bolt icon and select Notes Templates. Alternatively, navigate to Settings > Notes Templates.

Step 2: Add a New Template

  • Click Add Template.

Step 3: Configure Template Details

  • Title: Give your template a clear and descriptive title (e.g., "AE - Demo Call," "SDR - Discovery Call," "CS - Onboarding Call").

  • Team (Optional): Choose which team should have access to this template. Leaving it blank will make it accessible to all users.

  • CRM Integration (Optional):

    • Enable the "Log notes into the custom fields of your CRM" option.

    • Important: Select a CRM custom field with a text format to avoid character limitations.

    • Choose the relevant CRM field entity (Account, Contact, Deals, Leads).

    • Click Activate and select the desired CRM custom field.

Make sure not to choose a field with a limited amount of authorized characters (example of Salesforce's fields formats below)

Step 4: Build Your Template Content

Use a combination of the following elements to structure your template:

  • Headings: Divide your template into clear sections.

  • Bullet Lists: Outline key talking points, questions, or steps.

  • To-Do Lists: Include actionable items for the call.

  • CRM Fields: Dynamically pull in relevant CRM data for context so your sales can edit them during the meeting.

Formatting Tips:

  • Use the toolbar for easy formatting options.

  • Select text and type "/" to access formatting shortcuts.

Step 5: Save and Publish

  • Save as Draft: Save your template without making it accessible to users.

  • Save and Publish: Make your template immediately available in the Live Note application for all assigned users.

Note: As an administrator/manager, you can access all templates within your Modjo Notes application.

2. Modify an existing template

A) Unpublished Templates:

  1. Go to Settings > Notes Templates.

  2. Select the draft template you want to modify.

  3. Make the necessary changes and save.

B) Published Templates:

  • Option 1: Direct Editing (Changes Published Immediately)

    1. Go to Settings > Notes Templates.

    2. Select the published template.

    3. Make the desired changes and save. Note: These changes will be live for all users.

  • Option 2: Duplicate and Edit

    1. Go to Settings > Notes Templates.

    2. Click the ellipsis (...) next to the published template.

    3. Select Duplicate.

    4. Make the desired changes to the duplicated template.

    5. Save as a draft until you're ready to publish.

3. Unpublishing or Deleting a template

  1. Go to Settings > Notes Templates.

  2. Click the ellipsis (...) next to the desired template.

  3. Select Unpublish to disable user access.
