MixMax

Follow the steps described in this article for your Mixmax Dialer calls to be automatically imported into Modjo.

Once Mixmax is connected, the recorded calls your team makes with the Mixmax Dialer are imported into Modjo automatically. They are transcribed and are ready to be use like any other call for follow-up, call reviews and more.

🚨 Prerequisites:

  • Admin rights in Mixmax and Admin rights in Modjo.

  • Call recording enabled in Mixmax: only recorded calls can be imported.

  • Access to the Mixmax Calls API. This API is in beta at Mixmax and must be enabled on your Mixmax workspace. If you're not sure, ask your Mixmax contact.

⏱️ Duration time: 5' on average

Step 1: Create a Mixmax API key

Step 2: Connect Mixmax in Modjo

Step 3: Link your users

Step 1: Create a Mixmax API key

  • In Mixmax, go to My Settings > Integrations > API.

  • Click Create Mixmax API token and name it Modjo.

  • Copy the API key and save it for Step 2.

Step 2: Connect Mixmax in Modjo

  • In Modjo, go to Settings => Integrations.

  • Find Mixmax ("Phone and video provider" category) and click Connect.

  • In the API Key field, paste the API key you created during Step 1.

  • Click Save.

Modjo checks that the key can access your workspace calls. If the connection fails, see Troubleshooting below.

Step 3: Link your users

  • In the Users tab, link each Modjo user to their Mixmax user.

  • Good to know: you can use the Auto-match button to let Modjo link your users based on email matching.

  • Click Save.

Only calls from linked users with a Modjo licence are imported.

Congratulations! 🙌

Once these steps are done, your integration is active. Make your first call with the Mixmax Dialer to try it out!

💡 Good to know: Modjo checks Mixmax for new calls every 20 minutes. A call usually appears in Modjo within an hour, once the recording is available in Mixmax and the call has been transcribed.

No webhook needed: unlike some other phone integrations, you don't need to configure anything else in Mixmax.

Which calls are imported?

Modjo imports a Mixmax call when all these conditions are met:

  • The call was completed or answered (failed, cancelled, busy and unanswered calls are skipped).

  • A recording is available in Mixmax.

  • The call is longer than your minimum call duration. To change it, see minimum call duration for import or get in touch with your Modjo contact.

  • The call was made by a Mixmax user linked to a licensed Modjo user.

Calls made through any calling source in Mixmax are supported, including calls placed through Dialpad from Mixmax.

On each imported call, Modjo shows the Modjo user, the date, the duration, the phone number called and the contact name when Mixmax provides them.

🚨 Limits to be aware of

  • Only new calls are imported: calls made before the integration was connected are not imported.

  • All calls appear as outbound: Mixmax doesn't share the call direction, so inbound calls are also shown as outbound in Modjo.

  • No automatic CRM association from Mixmax: the Salesforce contact, account or opportunity attached to the call in Mixmax is not carried over to Modjo.

  • Mixmax transcripts, notes and tags are not imported: Modjo produces its own transcript from the recording.

  • Calls only: Mixmax emails, sequences and meetings are not covered by this integration.

Troubleshooting

The connection fails when I save the API key. Check that you copied the full key and that it hasn't been revoked. If the key is valid, your Mixmax workspace may not have access to the Calls API yet: ask your Mixmax contact to enable it.

A call is missing in Modjo. Check that:

  • the call was recorded in Mixmax and the recording is available;

  • the call is longer than your minimum call duration;

  • the user who made the call is linked in the Users tab and has a Modjo licence.

Still missing after an hour? Contact Modjo support with the date and time of the call.

Optional: Disconnect Mixmax

  • In Modjo, go to Settings => Integrations => Mixmax and disconnect the integration. Calls stop being imported.

  • In Mixmax, delete the Modjo API key you created in Step 1.
