Manage teams and users

Create teams and invite user on Modjo.

Updated over 3 months ago

💡 This article is intended for administrators only.

Make sure to create the right teams and send out invitations to your users when setting up your Modjo workspace.

🚨Prerequisites: You must have an admin/manager role.

1. Create teams

Start by setting up your teams under Settings > Teams section.

We suggest organizing teams to match your company's structure.

Teams can have unique access and settings for various features.

Users can belong to multiple teams. To have sub-teams, create each team separately and assign users accordingly.

Create an "Account Executive" team with 2 subteams: "AE Enterprise" and "AE SMB".

Assign an SMB Account Executive rep to both subteams.

For different team call permissions, see this article.

If your users are already created, you can assign them to teams during team creation. Otherwise, invite your users now.

2. Invite users:

You can invite users to Modjo in 3 ways:

  • Manual creation for a few users

  • Bulk import via CSV for many users

  • API for automated and large-scale user management.

A. Manual Creation

  • In Settings > Users, click on "Add a user".

  • Choose a role for each user from these 3 options:

Admin: can manage roles and subscription to add licenses.

Manager: can manage roles but not subscription. Suitable for managers.

User: can access all calls in Modjo. Perfect for reps.

  • Choose between two License options for each user:

Recording - Premium: required for all reps to record calls.

Listening - Free: for users who only want to listen to calls. Unlimited users can be invited at no cost.

To restrict user access to specific calls, see our article on teams and call restrictions here.

  • Link user integrations to their email addresses.

  • Click on "Save".

The new user will receive an email to start using Modjo.

B. Bulk Import Users

Go to Settings > Users and select "Upload users" in the top right corner.

  • Click on "Download template" for importing users.

  • Use an appropriate tool to open the CSV file and fill it with information following the formatting rules.

  • Save the file in CSV format and upload it to Modjo, then click on import.

The users have been successfully created and have been sent an invitation link to access Mojo via email.

  • If you've connected your tools to Modjo, go to Settings > Integrations and link your Modjo users to the users in your connected tool.

(e.g: each Modjo user must be associated with a Salesforce user, the association is done via email but you can modify it.

C. Managing users with API

If you need an automated and massive user management solution for your Modjo users, you may want to use our API for this.

It offers a complete Teams and Users management solution.

Refer to this article for this, and check our API documentation for more information.
