This article explains how to add custom CRM fields to Modjo Deals

Updated over a week ago

With the introduction of Custom CRM Fields in Modjo Deals, sales managers can now personalize their deal views to better align with their unique sales processes. This feature allows you to display specific CRM fields that are most relevant to your team's needs, enhancing your ability to prioritize and manage opportunities effectively.

Key Benefits of customizing Modjo Deals with your CRM fields:

  • Tailored Insights: Customize the information displayed in your deals to focus on what matters most to your team.

  • Improved Deal Management: Quickly identify and prioritize opportunities based on the fields that are critical for your sales strategy.

  • Enhanced Collaboration: Facilitate more productive discussions during pipe review routines by having all relevant information at your fingertips.

I. Setting Up Custom CRM Fields

Step 1: Accessing the Deals Settings

💡 To set up Custom CRM Fields, you need to be an admin or manager.

Follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Settings page.

  2. Navigate to the Deals settings, in the Organization section.

  3. Go to 'CRM fields' section.

Step 2: Adding Custom CRM Fields

To add a custom CRM field:

  • Click on 'Add CRM field'.

  • Use the search bar to find the desired field from your CRM.

  • Select the field you want to display in Modjo Deals.

  • Field is added and a success message appears.

Note: Only fields related to Deals object can be selected.

II. Using Custom CRM Fields

A) Viewing Custom Fields in the Deals List

Once the custom fields have been added, users will see these fields in their Deals list and Deal view:

  • The new columns will automatically appear as the last column in all views.

  • Users can reorder the columns according to their preferences, and these changes will be saved for future sessions.

B) Filtering and Sorting Custom Fields

In the upcoming version, users will have the ability to filter and sort by the custom fields added:

  1. Click on the Add Filter button above the Deals table.

  2. A dropdown will appear with all available filters based on the fields added by the admin.

  3. Select the desired filter to apply it to your view.

Sorting: Users can sort the columns, except for text area fields.

III. Managing Custom Fields

A) Editing and Deleting Custom Fields

As an admin, you have the ability to manage the custom fields:

  • Delete: you can delete a field by clicking on the red bin next to the field. It will be removed from all users' views. A confirmation modal will appear to validate this action.

Important: Certain fields, such as deal name, interaction timeline, objections, and warnings, cannot be deleted as they are essential to Modjo's functionality.

B) Handling Fields Deleted from the CRM

If a field is deleted from the CRM, a daily sanity check will ensure that it is also removed from the Modjo interface. Users will not receive a warning message for this action.
