How to link Modjo calls to your CRM contacts

Understand how to link your calls to your CRM easily.

Updated this week

1. Why connect your Modjo calls to your CRM?

Connecting Modjo to your CRM is essential to unlocking the full value of the platform. This integration allows you to:

  • Log call activity automatically

  • Add notes directly from Modjo

  • Send AI-generated call summaries

  • Push information into CRM fields (if using AI CRM filling)

Without this connection, key insights and data won’t make it into your CRM, which can lead to lost context or follow-ups.

Here we did not find any contact in the CRM associated with 'thomas@wind.com'

Let's explore how this feature makes it easier to link Modjo calls with CRM contacts, either automatically or manually.

2. Link Modjo calls to your CRM contacts

1. Automatic nightly contact synchronization

💡 This feature is available for all six of our integrated CRMs: Salesforce, HubSpot, Pipedrive, Zoho, Microsoft Dynamics, and Sellsy.

To ensure optimal alignment between calls and CRM contacts, Modjo performs nightly synchronizations:

  • Every night: We check and link CRM contacts created within the last seven days.

  • Every weekend: We extend the check to cover the past 30 days for a broader update.

If a contact is added to your CRM after a call, it will be automatically linked to Modjo during these synchronizations.

2. Manual association from the call details page

💡 Available only for HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Pipedrive CRMs.

If automatic synchronization isn’t sufficient, or you need immediate linkage, you can manually associate your calls:

A. Check the contact on the call details page:

Click on the phone number, email address or pseudo/name displayed on Modjo. A modale will appear.

B. Search for your contact using the search bar:

Enter your contact's first name or surname in the search bar (3 characters minimum) and select him/her.

And then click on 'Associate'.

C. If the contact doesn’t exist in your CRM:

  • Click 'Create Contact'

  • You’ll be redirected to your CRM’s contact creation form.

  • Complete and submit the form with your contact info

  • Then return to Modjo, search again, and select the contact that is now visible.

Once completed, the call will be linked to the new CRM contact, and all relevant CRM information (name, company, etc.) will appear in Modjo. Other Modjo features will also be generated (tags, summary, AI Call Scoring etc.)

3. Manual association from the calls list and deal view

💡 Available only for HubSpot, Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics and Pipedrive CRMs.

This feature works similarly to the call details page but allows you to manage multiple calls simultaneously:

  • Select the calls you want to update.

  • Click on 'associate to CRM' on the side panel, and follow the same steps as above.

This method is especially efficient for handling a high volume of calls that require manual updates or associations.

3. Associate an account to your call or create an opportunity

Sometimes, a contact may already be linked to a call, but the account or deal is missing.

In this case, from the call details page, you can:

  • Link the call to an existing account

  • Or create a new opportunity

You’ll be redirected to your CRM to complete the association.

4. Refresh synchronization between Modjo and your CRM

Once the contact, account, or deal is created or linked in your CRM, return to Modjo and click the refresh button to update the connection.

💡 To keep in mind

  • The refresh button allows you to update the contact and account if no link has yet been established between the call and the CRM. However, if you later modify the account associated with the contact or the contact itself, Modjo will not be able to update that association to the call.

  • In the case of the opportunity, if an opportunity does not yet exist, it will be added; if it is modified, it will be updated.
