Overview
The Call Retention Percentage feature enables Modjo administrators to manage how many call recordings and transcripts are retained in the platform. This helps organizations align with labor laws and GDPR concerns — especially in scenarios where employee recording for productivity is sensitive or potentially regulated.
This guide explains how to configure call and transcript retention settings through the Modjo Admin interface.
How does it work ?
You set a target retention percentage
100% of recordings which Modjo has access to are transcribed
Immediately after transcription, recordings are randomly selected and deleted to align with target retention percentage. Those recordings never appear in app.
100% of transcripts are analyzed
⚠️ Since calls are randomly selected for deletion, the actual retention percentage may slightly vary based on call volume
The greater the number of calls, the closer the actual percentage should be to the target percentage.
For example, based on some simulation, for a target of 70% retention, for a 1 000 calls we observed an actual retention of 69.80%, whereas for 100 000 calls, we observed an actual retention of 70.04%.
(Optional) You may chose to also apply the retention percentage to transcripts.
In additional to the steps above:
Transcripts whose recordings have been deleted, are also deleted. Those transcripts never appear in app.
⚠️ Deleting transcripts will impact Ask anything features: Ask anything on a deal or an account responses could be missing some context
