Get started with Modjo in just a few steps.

Updated over a month ago

This article is dedicated to new users with a recording license within Revenue teams, such as Sales, BDR, and CSM.

In this guide, we’ll walk you through each step to help you onboard smoothly and get the most out of Modjo from your very first days.

Step 1: What is Modjo for?

Once your setup is complete, Modjo helps you optimize your sales workflow with its many features:

  • Automatic recording of your calls and video meetings.

  • AI-generated summaries to quickly identify key points.

  • Detailed transcripts to review and analyze your conversations.

  • Centralized call import to organize your customer follow-up.

  • Playback of calls anytime to improve your pitch.

  • Follow-up emails generated directly from your conversations.

  • Efficient meeting prep by easily retrieving key discussion points.

Step 2: First login

A. Receive your first login email

An onboarding email has been sent to you by one of your Modjo admins.

🚨 This link is valid for 24 hours for security purposes, we recommend logging in as soon as possible.

If you can’t find the email:

  • Make sure your admin has actually sent the invitation.

  • Check your professional inbox.

  • Look in your spam or junk folder.

  • Confirm that your company has not blocked emails from Modjo.

B. Choose your login method

You have two options:

  • SSO login: Use your Google or Microsoft Teams account.

  • Modjo login: Create your own password.

💡 Your administrator may have configured the authentication methods for Modjo as follows:

  • If password login has been disabled, you will no longer have the option to use a password (Here the article for more information about it).

  • If an alternative identity provider such as Okta has been set up, the Google and Microsoft options will not be available.

Step 3: Authorize calendar access

If you use Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or Zoom, you need to connect your calendar to ensure smooth call recording.

Step 5: Make your first video call

A. Schedule a meeting

To ensure successful recording, follow these steps:

  • Check your license: You must have a recording license.

  • Include an external participant: Internal meetings (with only participants from your company domain) are excluded from recording.

  • Add a video link to the invitation.

  • Accept the bot at the start of the meeting (it will leave the waiting room after 10 minutes if not admitted).

  • Make sure each participant has their own computer and microphone to ensure proper identification.

B. Manually add a bot

If the bot doesn’t automatically join your meeting, users with a recording license can manually invite it:

Step 6: Make your first phone call

Before making your first recorded phone call with Modjo, check these essential steps:

  • Check your license: You need a recording license.

  • Confirm your phone system is correctly connected in the Profile section.

    • If it’s not connected, ask your admin to link your phone account to Modjo.

  • The call must be recorded in the phone system.

  • Only real conversations will be imported into Modjo. Very short calls under 2 minutes) are excluded by default.

    • If needed, you can ask your Account Manager to adjust this setting.

Step 7: Explore your call in Modjo

Once your call is recorded, discover all the available features:

  • Listen to your call: Easily review and analyze your conversation.

  • Ask Anything: Use AI to extract precise insights from the call.

  • Transcript & Summary: Read the full transcript and a clear summary of key points.

  • Follow-up email: Save time with an AI-generated follow-up email based on your call.

These tools will help you get the most out of your conversations and follow-ups.
